Ascetic stay, overpriced.
The hotel itself is quite old-fashioned (from 70th or so, not renovated at all), no drying possibilities for ski/snowboard boots. Very basic kitchen facilities in the room.
Nice view to Cervinio/Matterhorn. Free Wifi was quite OK and room was clean. :). Ski in - ski out is possible. Not directly to slopes and not for beginners.
Group of friends
Worst place ever...not even a bed. Sofas and extra-beds.
Just a place to put your bag and sleep on a sofa or extra-bed...nothing more. Really old place that needs to be cleaned and fixed, more lika a place for school-kids. No bar, no breakfast, nothing. Its like staying in an old building from Russia. Hope I will never be back. For the same price you can get a room with breakfast in the center, near the slopes and ski lifts. You must go by car, really too far away from the restaurants and there are no taxis. Beware.
Good skiiing and very pleasant accommodation
Kitchen fairly basic - a couple of electric hobs - but adequate for pasta etc. There's a small shop nearby but the nearest supermarket is 1 mile walk down into Cervinia or 15 minute journey on shuttle bus.
Large, quiet comfortable rooms with pleasant views. Very helpful staff at reception. More convenient access to ski slopes than expected. You can ski direct from the back of the residence down to Cervinia and then a 200m walk to the main lift to Plan Maison. Coming back you can divert off piste 13 through the trees right back to the residence - or less confident skiers can ski to the bottom of the Cieloalto chairlift and walk 200m back up the hill. The Cieloalto chairlift is close by and relatively quiet with several nice runs down.
Good stay in a The-Grand-Budapest-Hotel like property ;)
In the description it says you can ski in and out to the hotel, but we didn't manage to find that way. Actually it's 200 m down the road to the first slope
Although the apartments are not big, they have everything you need - a proper dinner table, all necessary cutlery, pans and even a coffee pot. :) Window views are simply beautiful. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, and with a good sense of humour.
Great value for money
A bit far away from the city centre, but still manageable.
Friendly staff, fantastic view from the hotel room.
It is obvious that the apartment building was built in '80s and that it has not been refurbished much ever since.
The location may be a bit farther from the centre but providing you are willing to take a ride by your own car every morning is absolutely nothing wrong with it. In fact it is a peaceful place with plenty of parking spaces available.
Overall an enjoyable holiday but spoilt because too much snow.
The kitchen only had a small hob. Would have liked an oven. Also no kettle in apt. Apt is a bit old but clean. We hit Cervinia in a bad week, we had too much snow. The lifts were closed a couple of days and only partially open on another couple. Because of the amount of snow the bus service was also erratic
The apartment had plenty of room and very clean. There were 2 adults and 3 teenage kids and plenty of room for us. I liked that it was possible to ski in/out although on a red slope so need to be able to ski. Unfortunately because of amount of snow we couldn't access it.
there was no mountain view as it was written in my reservation. I just had a view on a mountain on which the building itself located
very helpful staff, the bus stop is in front of the hotel skiing area Cieloalto (with ski rent, couple of nice restaurants and a small grocery) is accessible by foot (by during bad weather conditions like strong wind we had some days when we had to go back from the town center by bus). Keep in mind, when you go downhill from Cieloalto in the morning you always have to walk up ~250 meters without skies to the ski lift. My small daughter didn't like it
The building is very close to the ski slope. The price is nice in comparison to other hotels in cervinia. The accommodation met our expectations
The skiing facilities in Cervinia is EXCELLENT!
Not a dislike, but more a pointer: Be aware that most restaurants in Cervinia in winter OPEN for dinner at 19:00 (&last shuttle to hotel leaves at 20:30), so if you’re having dinner in town, plan some bar time between the last ski down and opening; and make your dinner quick to get back up). Alternately call a taxi (the more people, the cheaper)
Staff were excellent Ski rental close by Ski lockers are great Ski-in / Ski-out for more experienced skiers, not recommended for first timers. Shuttle service comes past regularly at 1,10€ per person/ride
Not the best accommodation, with a beautiful view and a bad location.
The apartment is farther away from the first cable car, as it is in the offer. Therefore, it is necessary to take a ski bus, which, however, has a very poor schedule of runs and stops. The heating does not work well. Also wifi is slow and sometimes not available.
Receptionist (he introduced himself as Franko) was extremely friendly and added to the same price another apartment for two with balcony, since the reserved apartment was too small for four adults and a dog.
Good value for the location but a bit cold
The staff were not at reception when we arrived or when we wanted to check-out. Had to ask for the heating to be turned up twice as the room was cold.
The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. There was a great view and the place was nice and clean.
Far from ski lifts and shops. No ski-in ski-out as advertised!!
Nothing it was as expected. Italian charm and style good and bad.
Ski in ski out
